Lollapalooza wurde 1991 von Perry Farrell als ein tourendes Festival durch Nordamerika ins Leben gerufen. Seit 2005 findet das Lollapalooza als permanentes innerstädtisches Festival im Grant Park Chicago. 2010 wurde eine Expansion des Lollapalooza angekündigt, es folgten Festivals in Chile 2011, Brasilien 2012 und Argentinien 2014.

Jetzt kommt Lollapalooza 2025 zum 10. Mal nach Deutschland! Am 12. und 13. Juli findet in Berlin im Olympiapark und im Olypiastadion das europäische Lollapalooza statt.
